Vehicle History Reports for Dealers

Bulk vehicle history reports without the subscription: screen 10 or 20 cars a month at $7.90 per VIN, with credits that wait for your next auction run.

One-time payment. No subscription. Credits never expire.

Built for the way small lots buy

$7.90 per report in the 10-pack

One reconditioning surprise on a car with an unbranded structural repair costs more than a year of reports.

Run it before you bid, not after

Reports compile in about a minute, fast enough to check a VIN between auction lanes. Ask the report a question and get the risk picture without reading all six sections. Know another dealer who should be running these? Refer them and earn 30% or take it in report credits.

Auction photo archives

When a car ran a salvage lane, the photos usually survive. See the damage before the respray, as a second opinion on the condition report.

Credits never expire

Buy a pack, spend the credits whenever inventory shows up. No subscription, nothing to cancel.

Where reports pay for themselves

Three moments in a dealer's week where the record beats the story.

The auction lane, before your paddle goes up

The condition report tells you what the auction saw this week. The history report tells you what every state, insurer, and prior auction saw over the car's whole life. Pull the VIN from the run list the night before, screen the lot for branded titles and rollbacks, and walk in already knowing which cars are worth inspecting. A title brand that surfaces after you own the car is not a negotiation, it is your problem.

The trade-in desk

A customer says the trade has never been hit. The report shows two damage events and a title transfer from a flood state. Now the appraisal number defends itself, with the record on the screen doing the talking instead of you.

Sight-unseen online buys

Buying from an online marketplace or an out-of-state wholesaler means trusting photos someone else framed. The auction archive shows the car at its worst moment, which is exactly the angle those listings leave out.

The math on a month of screening

Say your lot looks hard at 15 cars this month. At $7.90 per report with 10-packs, screening all 15 costs about $118.50. Buying those same 15 reports one at a time from other leading providers at around $44.99 each would run past $670, and a subscription plan you forget to cancel keeps billing after the buying stops. Each TrulyCar credit buys the same all-inclusive document: NMVTIS title and brand records from the federal title system, insurance total-loss records, salvage auction photos, a chronological odometer audit, theft checks, and NHTSA recalls. The math only has to work once. A single car with an undisclosed structural repair can easily eat $2,000 or more in reconditioning before it is fit for the front line, and that is the exact record a report is built to surface before the paddle goes up.

Proof, without the padding

TrulyCar launched in 2026, so we will not claim a wall of dealer logos we do not have. What we can show you: our reviews live on Trustpilot where we cannot edit them, our data sources are named on every report, and our refund policy is published. If you run your lane list through us, an honest review, good or bad, is the most useful thing you can leave the next dealer.

Dealer questions

How does bulk pricing work?

Packs are one-time purchases that add report credits to your account: 3 for $29.99, 5 for $44.99, or 10 for $79.00 ($7.90 per report). Spend a credit on any VIN from your dashboard whenever you need a report.

Do dealer credits expire or renew?

No. Credits stay on your account until you use them, and there is no subscription or auto-renewal. Buy another pack only when you run out.

Do you offer volume beyond 10 reports?

Buy packs as often as you need; three 10-packs a month is a common rhythm for lots running 30 cars. If your volume is well past that, contact us and we will talk.

Can several people at the lot use one account?

Credits belong to one sign-in today, so most small lots share a single account for report pulls. Per-seat team accounts are on our roadmap; contact us if that matters for your operation.

Can I show TrulyCar reports to my customers?

Showing a buyer the report during a sale conversation is exactly what it is for. Reselling report data or republishing it in listings is not permitted under our terms.

How fast is a report at the auction?

A fresh report usually compiles in about a minute. A VIN anyone pulled within the last 30 days opens instantly from cache and costs no credit.

Is there an API or bulk VIN upload?

Not today. The dashboard is the workflow: paste a VIN, spend a credit, read the report. If your volume genuinely needs an API, contact us so we can gauge demand honestly.

What's in each report?

Every report is the same all-inclusive document: NMVTIS title and brand records, damage events with auction photos where they exist, odometer chronology with rollback detection, theft records, open recalls, the factory maintenance schedule, warranty terms, and market values by condition.
